1. Why should I advertise with ZiXXo?
The short answer is because it works. If you use coupons to reward your customers for good behavior (like spending more, trying your business for the
first time, repeat buying, etc.), your customers will reward you with more of that behavior. 79% of the U.S. population uses coupons and last year the
largest U.S. companies issued 350 BILLION coupons. Now, even the smallest local business can offer a professional looking coupon through a growing network
of major websites!
2. How is ZiXXo’s advertising different from other Internet advertising?
Unlike the national web sites, ZiXXo’s local communities focus solely on local communities. As a result, the users are much more targeted and also
less expensive to reach. There’s really no reason to advertise to people on the other side of the country is there? Simply put, your local ZiXXo
site will put your business in front of the people in your community, on a cost-effective basis.
3. I have a coupon already, can I use that?
Absolutely. We still need information about you and your coupon so that we can describe it and categorize it properly. Then you simply upload a
digital image of your coupon, for example a scanned image in .jpg or .jpeg format.
4. I don’t have a coupon, how do I create one?
We provide a very simple form to describe your coupon, just fill it out. You can select one of our pictures for the coupon or add your own.
If you have a logo, you can add that too. The entire process takes about 5 minutes.
5. Can I update or change my coupons?
Yes. You have a user-friendly control panel where you can change your coupons, pause or activate selected coupons, delete them. Managing
coupons is simple and intuitive.
6. Can I limit how many coupons each customer can use?
Yes. We have “limited use coupons”. If you select this option, you can define two things: (1) how many times each user can print it (e.g.
once, once a month, etc.); and (2) how long that printed coupon is valid (e.g. one week). This enables you to create very valuable
coupons—to get people to try your business—but prevent them from being used repeatedly by the same person.
7. How do I get started?
Just Register, add your business (you can have multiple businesses) and start creating coupons!
8. Can online businesses offer coupons through ZiXXo?
Yes. When you create your coupon, select the Type: “Webstore” under Type. You’ll also want to select Distribution: “National”. Then put
in the URL necessary to receive the discount. You may NOT include affiliate tracking codes in the hyperlinks of these coupons.
9. How do I pause/activate coupons?
First, we use the term “paused” to describe a coupon that you can see and edit, but it is not available for users to print and redeem…yet.
If you go to your Control Panel, you’ll see that for each coupon there is a colored light (red or green). Red means that the coupon is paused.
Click the red light and it will turn green, meaning that it is now active and vice versa. You can only activate coupons if the business has
completed the ID Validation. We use ID Validation to prevent fraudulent coupons.
10. How many coupons can I create or offer at once?
At this point we don’t limit the number of coupons you can create or offer. At some point someone will undoubtedly push the envelope too far with a
thousand coupons or something and we’ll have to set a limit, but we’ll deal with that when we get there. So have at it, create a bunch of coupons.
But make sure that they are real coupons, meaning they provide the user with a unique benefit that is not offered to others who don’t have the coupon.
11. I have more than one business, how do I handle that?
Our system is set-up to address this. In fact, an advertising agency or web designer can create and manage accounts for their clients.
Just go into your control panel and click “Add Business”.
12. My business has multiple locations, how do I handle that?
No problem. (1) Go to your Advertiser Control Panel and Click on the Account Information tab. (2) Scroll down this page to the
section titles Businesses and click on the Edit image (pencil and paper). (3) On the next screen, scroll down to the section titled
Locations and click the Add Locations button. You can add as many locations as you want.
13. Can I add information about my company (website, menu, selling points)?
Yes, of course, or we wouldn’t have mentioned it here. You can add your website address, locations, hours of operation, selling points,
menu, list of services and payment forms accepted (all optional). (1) Go to your Advertiser Control Panel and Click on the Account Information
tab. (2) Scroll down this page to the section titles Businesses and click on the Edit image (pencil and paper). (3) On the next screen,
you can add all sorts of information about your company.
14. Can I get reports on coupon usage?
Yes. On your control panel there is a tab called Reports. Click this tab, select the report and define the date range and you’ll see all
sorts of information about coupon usage.
15. What is ID Validation?
We need to prevent users from creating fraudulent coupons. The best way to do this is to validate each business’s identification.
So, we require a valid credit card. How do we make sure the credit card is valid? Simple. We charge a one time fee of 1¢.
We actually lose money on this because it costs us about 29¢ per transaction. We will not automatically begin charging your credit card,
like those trial magazine subscriptions, don’t worry. We apologize for the inconvenience of ID validation, but it is to protect you
from bogus coupons.
16. I deleted my coupon, can I undelete it?
Yes. When you delete a coupon, we move it into a deleted folder. You can see this at the bottom of the Manage Coupons screen
(only if you have a deleted coupon). Open this section and undelete your coupon. Undeleted coupons are always paused, for
safety reasons. You will have to go into the Manage Coupons screen and click the red light to turn it green, meaning that the
coupon is active.
17. Can I file my seasonal coupons, so I don’t have to recreate them?
Yes. The best way to do this is to pause them. You do this by clicking the green light (turning it red) on the Manage Coupons screen.
Then when you need those coupons live again, simply click the red light (turning it green) to activate them.
18. Can I offer my coupon nationally?
Yes. During the coupon creation process, you are asked to select the Distribution for the coupon. Your options are Local and National.
Just select National and your coupon will be available across the U.S. However, you should only do this for websites and businesses
that have true national coverage, otherwise you will just annoy the users.
19. How can I tell people about my online coupon?
We provide two ways for you to advertise your online coupon. One way is through the Tell-a-Friend service. If you use this to send
spam (unwanted email) we will terminate your ability to use that service though. The other way is by posting a sticker that advertises
that you offer online coupons through ZiXXo. We will send you a sticker for free when you sign-up, while supplies last. You can place
it next to your credit card stickers.

1. Why should I register and login?
By registering, we can offer you high-value coupons that each user can only use a limited number of times
(e.g. once). If you simply use the site, without registering, then you will not be able to see or use these
limited use coupons. Businesses offer these limited use coupons to offer a really good deal, without having
to offer that deal every time you buy from them.
2. How do I register?
Just click on Register on and complete the simple form.
3. How can I convince a local business to provide coupons through ZiXXo?
If you know the owner/manager’s email address, you can go to our Tell-a-Friend, select the business owner email, fill out the forms
and send it to them. Or you can simply tell them to go to http://www.zixxo.com and add a coupon for FREE.
4. How can I provide feedback on the site?

7. Is there really a Santa Claus?
Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.
8. What is a limited use coupon and how do I use it?
Limited use coupons typically provide a deep discount, and are available for use a limited number of times per
consumer. For example, a business might give you a free sample or a cheap meal. But the company limits how many
times you can use it, then it is no longer available to you. You must be both registered (free) and logged in to
have access to limited use coupons.
9. Why are there two ratings per coupon?
The 5-star rating to the left is a company rating. This rating stays with the company across all coupons. The
reviews are also specific to the company. The 5-star rating on the right is a rating of the specific coupon’s value.
You might rate the value of the coupon higher or lower than the company itself. The benefit of this is that you can
sort for the best value and see what is hot at the moment.
10. Is there an easy way to print multiple coupons?
Yes, in the listing of coupons click in the selection box on the left hand side of the coupons you want. Then select
Print Selected.
11. Are reviews about the coupon or the company?
Reviews are associated with the company. We do, however, enable you to rate the value of the coupon on the directory page,
using a 5-star rating system.
12. Can I organize my favorite coupons so they are easier to find?
No. Just kidding, of course you can. Just find the coupons in the directory and click the selection boxes to the left of the
coupons. Then click Add to Favorites. This creates a copy of the selected coupons in you’re My Favorites directory.
13. Why does the coupon have green writing on top of it before I print it?
The advertisers like to keep track of how many coupons are printed, versus how many are viewed. So we needed a way to track the
coupons. We added the watermark so that you wouldn’t print that page, but will instead click the print button. The coupon will
print automatically to your default printer. We hope this doesn’t create any inconvenience.

At the bottom of every ZiXXo page, there is an affiliate link. Click this and then click Register.

2. What benefit do I receive as an affiliate?
Consumers are actively looking for coupons and 98% of business is concluded offline. For this reason, offering
coupons that can be used with local offline businesses is extremely valuable to consumers. This will, in turn,
increase the traffic to your website. For example, over 50% of the people who buy the Sunday newspaper are
buying it for the coupons.
3. How can I solicit businesses to offer coupons?
We have built this capability into our launchpad that you can place on your website. Once you register as an
affiliate, you’ll have access to our feature packed Affiliate Support Center. You’ll find a number of tools you
can use to be incredibly successful at soliciting businesses to offer coupons through ZiXXo. And once we start
charging for this service, you’ll get a percentage of the revenue from coupons offered by those businesses you recruit.
4. How can I add coupons to my website?
Just register as an affiliate and then place the code for the launchpad on your website. That’s it, it’s very
simple. If you have a web application, you can build coupons into your application through our API.
5. Can I add coupons to my web application?
Yes you can easily add coupons to your web application (or mashup) by using our API. You still need to register
as an affiliate in order to add coupons to your application.
